Christmas Traditions:
Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Sift together and set aside:
2¼ Cups sifted flour
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1 Teaspoon salt
Combine:
1 Cup softened butter or margarine
¾ Cup sugar
¾ Cup brown sugar firmly packed
1 Teaspoon vanilla
½ Teaspoon water
Beat this mixture until creamy. Beat in 2 Eggs. Add the flour mixture and mix well. Stir in 2 Cups (one 12 oz. package) of chocolate chips. Stir in 1 Cup chopped nuts if desired. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 10–12 minutes.
